When did you start training, and where? |
I started training at LA Fitness in Hillsboro, Oregon in November of 2006. I admired the way the figure/fitness girls looked in the magazines and decided to just go for it.

Explain your training style and philosophy. |
I don’t believe you can have a hard body by maximizing your cardio. You MUST also put emphasis on your lifting for muscle development and nutrition for a clean diet. |
Favorite body part to train? |
My favorite body part to train is biceps.

Least favorite? |
I used to really hate training my back, I think mostly because I never felt like I got a good workout. I am enjoying it more lately…I’m feeling the burn.

What supplements do you take?. |
Multivitamin, Protein drinks, BCAA’s, Fat Burners, CLA and a Digestive Enzyme

What is your precontest diet like? |
Pre-Contest.. hmm…Very plain. I ate mostly Protein and Vegetables cycling my carbs 4 days low 1 day high.

What is the hardest part of precontest? |
I had never ever seen changes in my body like that so it kept me interested. I did have tough days though during the summer when we would have social gatherings with friends and family. I think that was the hardest, just trying to stay good when everyone else was indulging.

How do you deal with it? |
I would usually try to get out of the house so I didn’t eat everything in site. Maybe go for a long run. It didn’t always work. I swore at time I needed a muzzle and someone else needed to hold the key.

| What is the first thing you want to eat after a show? |
Everything, Are you kidding…. Actually, I’m a HUGE cookie freak. I wanted cookies. I was going crazy at the Oregon State show; they actually had cookies backstage for the competitors. WHAT THE????? Yeah, Bruce….You’re gonna have to explain that one to me…..

Best nutrition tip? |
The easiest it was for me to prepare the better off I was. Quick and Easy!

Do you have a trainer or coach? |
Yes, I am currently training with Bruce Lester who will take me through my next competitive season.

Who do you admire in the figure world? |
Monica Brant, Jenny Lynn, Amanda Savell and Jamie Eason

What would you like to achieve in figure long-term? |
Wow, last year was my first and my biggest goal was just to be able to get on stage and not pass out. I can cross that off my list now. My next goal will actually have to be to win a 1st place trophy. Probably after that I will want to win and overall and qualify for nationals.
